NISSEI added a new nano material production capacity
Chicago news (July 21, 2009) (July 21, 2009) nanotechnology is one of the hottest fields in the plastic industry. The NISSEI Resin Industry Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of injection molding machines, took the lead in this field and began to produce carbon nanotubes by itself.
Nanotechnology and another promising new field - bioresin - is the theme of NISSEI's participation on NPE2009.
The Japanese company is Nobu Kobayashi, a marketing team coordinator of NISSEI branch of NISSEI, USA, based on Anaheim, an American branch of the US, said that the production of practical nanomaterials made NISSEI different from other plastic machinery manufacturers.
"We want to provide machines and materials for our customers at the same time," Kobayashi said in an interview on NPE. This is an integrated solution to the customer, and we believe that carbon nanotube technology will have a big market in the future.
Kobayashi said, compared with polystyrene or ABS and other traditional materials, the Voltiga and high impact polystyrene (HIPS) molded pallets can give them better performance. The combination of HIPS and nanotube can resist static electricity that causes damage to the product. "The strength is equivalent to the glass filling material, even better," he said.
He said that the PS or ABS bearing pallets need to be coated with antistatic coatings, which are expensive.
